I was born last of my mother’s three children, and she and I shared the same birthday. Because of this, we always had a close relationship. Over breakfast, on long car rides, or to pass lazy summer days, my mom would entrust me with her personal histories. She usually only revealed these tales when we were alone, making them that much more special. One such story was of her time as a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II. Although that was long before me, it impacted my life forever. I now share her story of being one of the Rosie the Riveter with you, enjoy.
