Dr. Henry Fowler, a well recognized archeologist, was about to retire as professor at Utah University. He wasn't looking forward to being in this house alone after Lacy died, or having his work to keep him busy. His depression would be short-lived when he began to hear voices everywhere he went. Thinking he was going senile, he soon learns there is a being behind the voice, approaching him with more knowledge about man's past than he ever thought possible. His fascination only becomes greater when he begins to notice he is getting younger than his 70 years by this being's visits to his home. His excitement of everything doesn't last, and he realizes he will not be able to escape so easily.
