Over the past 20 years of coaching high school boys basketball we have had a winning percentage of over 84% using the Motion Offense as our primary offense. Basketball's Motion Offense is a style of offensive play that differs from any kind of pattern play in that there is no predetermined order of movement of either players or the basketball. The foundation for the offense is constant movement of all five players that takes them to different positions on the floor. Instead of set patterns of play being followed, concepts are taught to enable the players to take advantage of opportunities presented by the defense.
