The first in a series of journal entries from my 2 year mission. This book covers my experiences in the Missionary Training Center in Utah. In order to best organize my experiences the following books will cover my time in various areas in Los Angeles. I was born and raised Mormon (a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints). In fact, my great-great-great-great grandfather was a Mormon polygamist. He knew Joseph Smith personally and his name is mentioned in Mormon scripture. I grew up singing "I hope they call me on a mission" at church each week. My grandfather served a 2 year mission in Mexico, my dad served a 2 year mission in Mexico, my brother served a 2 year mission in France.
