Dust Devil Dan and Other Cowboy Poems and Songs is a collection of my cowboy poetry and includes a few songs I have written. The collection is book length most of the poems are set in the old west. My cowboy poetry explores many different aspects of not only life in the west but life in gereral. There are many poems about human relationships and the cowboy's relationship with their Lord is also a part of some of the poems. Some of the poems are funny, some are sad, some are based on events and people that were a part of the old west. Dust Devil Dan is my favorite but The Little Red Pony is a close second. Cowboy poetry is very popular in the western states because it is one way that we maintain our connection with our past.
