Clancy Cooper is having a bad summer. Having been wrongly accused of breaking a window at the Sandy Point Pirate Museum, he finds himself helping quirky museum owner, O’Brien, search for Captain Kidd’s lost treasure. Clancy thinks this is a waste of time and he thinks O’Brien is one ship short of a fleet. This is New Jersey after all and not some former pirate hide-out in the Caribbean. Soon he learns that O’Brien’s rival, Henry, wants to buy the museum. O’Brien has refused to sell but Henry will do anything to get it. After Clancy finds a gold coin he starts to think that O’Brien may not be crazy. In fact, he may actually be close to finding Kidd’s treasure. When O’Brien suffers a heart attack, it looks like Henry is about to get his way. Now it’s up to Clancy to find the treasure and save the museum. But it won’t be easy. Henry is searching for the treasure too.
