Before television invaded every home, Hollywood's premier method of advertising new movie releases was through eye-catching posters (plastered on billboards all over the neighborhood) and fascinating lobby cards (displayed in special cabinets prominently located in cinema foyers). This book provides no less that 72 stunning, colorful examples of these advertisements. Counting all the individual scene stills on the lobby cards (which were presented in sets of eight), this amounts to over 150 reproductions in all, which the author succinctly describes with dates and other essential details.
