Tough Times is a black comedy about life on the edge. Written mostly in (west of Scotland) Scots and broad Belfast-speak and set in a dreary town somewhere in the west of Scotland in the very early years of the twenty first century it tells the story of six residents in a hostel for the homeless and of Rosie (ma Johnson), ex Bed and Breakfast owner turned hostel manager.
