Knox Kansas 1880. Blossom Stone the sister of outlaw and gunslinger Jessie Stone is working for Jeb Warner on his farm just outside Knox City, But Jeb is seriously ill with a fever and Blossom goes into town to send a wire to Dodge City to try and trace Jeb's estranged son Caleb. In the telegraph office she sees the new Marshal James Pretty Boy Guthrie a man once on the other side of the law. She keeps out of sight but he notices her. When Jeb dies Blossom has to defend the farmstead against predators who want the land. This gets her into trouble with the Marshal and she finds her life changes in an unexpected way.
