This evening we are continuing our Bible study series on the doctrines outlined in
Hebrews 6. Hebrews 6:1-2, KJV, we’re told, “Therefore leaving [or, going on from]the principles [the beginning words or the word of the beginning] of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying
on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” The foundation includes repentance from dead works, faith toward God, the doctrine of baptisms, and laying on of hands.
Laying on of hands is the fourth of these six doctrines. The seventh, going on to perfection, is built on top of these.
We are going to look at the laying on of hands this evening. There is a lot that is involved in it.
