"We are ready to finish up the book of Jeremiah. The first 11chapters that we are going to cover this evening, Jeremiah 35-45, provide a historical inset to the theme of the prophecy. What we primarily have in these chapters is a historical account of the events of Jeremiah’s ministry. We have the account of his warning to the governmental leaders in his day, the story of his subsequent arrest and, finally, the story of the Babylonian invasion of Judah and subsequent captivity of Jerusalem and Judah.
