In this digital age, any idiot can self-publish. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I'm not equipped to say. Since From the Junkheap is self-published, you may feel free to draw your own conclusions. As I said, "any idiot."What this book contains is a series of shorter pieces. Yes, "from the junkheap," in that most of them have passed--perhaps very briefly--through one or another magazine editor's (or reader's) hands. The stories range from a kind of science fiction, through a family death, through teen violence, through a flight from the law. Some of the stories are actually very old. As I say in the Preface, I'm no Norman Mailer. On the other hand, I wouldn't offer them here if I didn't think some might find them worthwhile
