This book is based upon a true story. It is the story of a Navy whistle-blower who stood up and reported millions of dollars of fraud, waste and abuse on the USS Kitty Hawk, CV-63 (US Navy) in 1985. The story goes on from the initial whistle blowing to expose how the Navy played a part in the Iran-Contra Affair. The author interviewed arms dealers, reporters, military personnel, and government agencies in the gathering of the story. Mr. Jackson testified to Congress on 10-1-1985 to the Seapower Subcommittee. He then went on to meet with his local Congressmen, Lee Hamilton (Iran-Contra Hearings) and Tom Foley (Speaker of the House).
