this is a fictional story based on the true facts of the Pentrich Revolution of 1817. England's last armed insurrection. My tale concerns the lives of four Eastwood colliers who were sent on a special lawbreaking mission by Jeremiah Brandreth (known as the Nottingham Captain.) The Moon Inn four were subsequently captured along with many of the other misled marchers and were sent for trial and Derby Assizes.
