Prologue
I was breathing hard as I walked through the darkness, eyes desperately searching for Cain. It was not a good time to be out, not in this neighborhood, anyway, and I knew that. But my beloved Cain didn't. He didn't know that he was in the big middle of a hunting ground for the undead, didn't know that the predators where everywhere. He didn't know that he was their prey.
I had to find him before the others did, before his life was lost, and any chances for my eternal happiness were destroyed permanently.
My eyes darted this way and that with no luck. I was desperate, "Cain?" I called as quietly as I could without whispering, "Please, Cain. I'm sorry.I didn't mean to over react like that. Please forgive me?"
"Katelina?"
