Tales of the Hyperion is a series of short stories that are all linked together by a single person. Each story is a stand alone one shot ranging in length. Every story reveals more about the mysterious Hyperion and the cases he investigates as well as the mysteries he solves. Some of the stories take place in present time, other in the near future and some even in the distant past.
In The Lone Isle a freelance reporter named Andrew travels to an island that is said to be frozen in time. Every year the towns people on the island hold a festival but no one can tell him more than that about it. Thinking it would be a nice puff peace for a local newspaper he travels out to the island during the festival to investigate.
Once there however he seems to get nothing but resistance from the locals and can not seem to find a straight answer. More mysterious is the man that traveled to the island ...
