Geology Hall is one of the most valued architecturally designed buildings on Rutgers campus. Geology Hall also has major intellectual as well as cultural significance both for Rutgers Alumnis and its history. The original idea for Geology Hall came from the first president of the University campus, William H. Campbell. That original design was conceived in the year 1872.
