The greatest single act of love in the history of the world was the suffering and death of a carpenter from Nazareth known in all the world as Jesus Christ. In His death He was able to break the bands of death for all because He proved His Divine Sonship through His widely witnessed and attested to resurrection from the dead and subsequent return to heaven. Many people today do not even believe that there is a God but without the Atonement wrought by God's Son we could not have a remission of our sins or the freedom to choose to return to heaven because only those who are washed in the blood of the Lamb can become spiritually clean to dwell in God's presence forever. The power of this message is felt by the testimony of the Holy Spirit in response to sincere prayer. It has changed lives for thousands of years! And yes, it changed mine.
