I originally bought it for $2.99 and in my years of experience upon amazon I have learned a general rule of thumb is that you get exactly what you pay for. With that in mind it came as a pleasant surprise when Louie the Star was both well written, entertaining, beautifully illustrated, and packed fill with a positive message to both. I bought the book to share with five year old niece and what a wonderful night we had reading through it and looking at the pretty pictures. The prose of the book is appropriate for the age level and highly entertaining, with plenty of rhymes and alliterations to keep any young mind occupied. One cannot help but smile at the idea of Louie, an outcast star who finds friendship and acceptance among strangers here on earth. It subtly passes on a message of kindness and acceptance ...
