The trouble with writing books is you are unlikely to make a living from your toil unless you are in the top five, maybe ten percent of writers' - that goes for musicians, actors and artists as well. Fortunately, it is just my hobby; my puerile attempt at leaving something behind. To date I have written three non-fiction books on life: all moderate sellers, although I am told they were very informative by those who took a chance on my writing ability, especially with my last tome and memoir, From Seven Hills to the Seven Seas' (recently re-released on Amazon).
