For two years, Robin Wright, a practicing psychologist, watches his wife, Summer Wright who is African American, struggle with her sexuality and evade the issue.
In an effort to get her to talk, Robin stages a meeting in his colleague/friend's office with the intention of confining Summer until she admits who she truly is: A closet lesbian.
Summer is outraged at her husband's tactics and completely shuts down. Not only is she not confessing, she's not even talking. After several hours of confinement, she realizes that she is stuck until she at least admits to something, and neither her husband or his colleague is ready for what she is to reveal.
