And breathe. Janet Wilson is a student who reflects on the events that occurred during her trip to Africa. Upon returning home, her mind remains preoccupied with the African experience and although she is offered some answers as to why things are the way they are, she continues to dwell in confusion and uncertainty. A change in the world only matters to some people, whether they welcome it or not. Others are too small to care. The story is set in an alternate version of Angola and Britain. It incorporates some dystopian features and leans towards minimal literary style.
