A dinner party was being held to honor the president in 1962 at the end of February. John.F.Kennedy’s sister, Pat and her husband, Peter Lawford invited Marilyn to the party.Although the dinner party had been scheduled to start that evening at eight pm, an hour later Marilyn was still at home, her reputation of being late giving her credit where it was due. She was later accompanied by Lawford’s business partner Ebbins, and when Marilyn arrived at the party, the whole room stood still. When John Kennedy saw Marilyn, he gasped for breath, and told her how anxiously he had been awaiting her arrival. Marilyn had arrived and her and the president smiled at one another. John Kennedy took Marilyn to a table, as Marilyn smiled at Ebbins.
