Two odd-couple distant brothers reunite to drive from Detroit to LA as a one-last-look road trip when one of them needs the other for a life-or-death bone marrow transplant. It's a film script turned to stage play format and a storyline similar to "Sideways" only with weed instead of wine. It's also a coming-of-age bonding tale about long-lost brothers who now need each other the most. An interesting tidbit is that it was conceived in 1996 by best friends in film on a class field trip to Cedar Point amusement park. "Rain Man" elements exist as well within its story.They lose everything they packed along the way but become best friends again just in time for the unproven precarious medical procedure.
