The idea of this book was born as a natural desire to share with my American friends those innermost feelings and emotions that I experienced within my student trip through the USA in 2007. Naturally, I had to compare a lot with Russia, offering several short insights in our history, trying to explain somehow the differences between us (the structure of society, culture, nature, history, food, American way of life etc.). I visited the United States again in the winter of 2015, so the gap between the two trips reached almost eight years – really a wide gap.
