This is a collection of stories about a Christian, transgender woman named Hope. Hope struggles mightily to overcome her very personal battles. These conflicts approach her both from within and from without. These stories have plenty of captivating action, but they also include some powerful character study too. The first story in the collection confronts LGBT bigotry in a compelling, unusual manner. The ending might knock your socks off. The second story has an apocalyptic setting, but it is actually quite inspiring and fascinating. Part of this book is set in Heaven and Hope has some involved conversations with Jesus during the course of the novella. The third story is post-apocalyptic in nature and thus it has a slightly more distressing atmosphere to it. But, the third book is still quite thought-provoking and even engagingly entertaining.
