Often, just the sight of one stopped us in our tracks as we took in every moment of that brief encounter. I remember the thought of freedom and exhilaration that the lucky rider must have been experiencing. But with my shy and timid nature, I could never have imagined me in that reality. Besides, motorcycles were seen as big, bad and loud to many people and unfortunately, many linked a similar stigma to their riders in those early days.
