Thanks to bulldozers, an ancient vampire has been unearthed from his self-imposed exile. He finds an unoccupied house to squat in, and mesmerizes two young adults to attend to him during the day. Kids aren’t what they once were with regard to authority, and the Master’s influence over them quickly fades. The Master’s plan to recruit additional thralls is something the two young adults are quite adept in. Only, the Master never realized that there are limits to mind control. (This is a short story, approximately 5,000 words)
