Being a victim of verbal and physical abuse, has driven me to produce this book, to help others who have or are experiencing abuse. However, I do not consider myself a victim any longer. The biggest question is: HOW DO YOU MOVE PAST THE TRAUMA OF ABUSE? My experience produced a person who was sad all the time and when I reflect on it, it was clear to me that my abuser had clinical depression and maybe other forms of mental illness that was never dealt with, nor did they have an understanding of, so it was passed on to the family and others. Over decades of time, I have taken steps to heal and it has taken me time to be able to forgive, but I have forgiven and that has set me free.
