The story of Young Li, a rice farmer, his fellow farmers in a village in the province of Hunan, China, and a great dragon who lives in nearby hills and mountains. Master Bu Hao is a very wealthy merchant who lives near the Xiang River a few miles away. When Bu Hao incorrectly believes the rice farmers have gold in their poor village, he conspires to rob the farmers. Although Bu Hao has armed men with him as he travels to the village, Bu Hao is unaware that the great dragon's purpose is to protect the village. And it does!
