The trip was planned out perfectly. It was going to be the perfect opportunity for her to reconnect with her estranged family members as well as for everything in their family to return to old times for a change; old happy times. She had left home for a while and wasn’t exactly happy with how things were with her folks. This trip was going to fix all that. For a person who was always tough and sometimes overly (annoyingly) strong, she had developed something of a sentimental attachment to the prospect of her family being happy and rosy again. So much so that she even dreamed of the whole thing a couple of times. However, as much as we humans love to plan and scheme and fantasize, fate sometimes has a plan that’s quite different from ours.
