The woman walked through the pouring rain, her eyes fixed firmly on the tower block that loomed large in the distance. She wore a dark blue dress, flat shoes, and the sort of plain woolly hat you only seem to find in the most cluttered charity shops. Every few seconds, she would stop walking in order to clutch at her stomach, as if she were in dire pain. In fact, she only stopped to keep a firm grip on the oddly misshapen bundle that she was carrying. The car park was a mess, and most of the vehicles seemed to be derelict shells. Some were missing wheels, some doors and one even lacked a roof. There was very little here to suggest that anyone of importance lived in the flats above, a fact that was underlined by the smashed glass in the lobby entrance.
