Feisty old Mazie is gone and the fate of the old diner is in the air. The place is scruffy, the service is poor but the French fries are still to die for. Katie finds her hometown has issues and a lot of potential. However, nostalgia doesn't pay the bills. If Katie is going to make changes in her life, she needs to get started. This uplifting and inspiring short story is 5.5k words.
